Financial assistance is available for homeowners, renters (tenants) and landlords to install ceiling insulation - you may be able to insulate your home at little or no cost. If you are not eligible for the assistance, you may still be able to get help with the cost of insulating your home with a Green Loan.
If you are not eligible for any government assistance, you can still benefit from insulating your ceiling. You might be able to install insulation by yourself by getting a supplier to install it for you
“The average house should cost between $1,200 and $1,600 for the ‘supply and fit’ of insulation, so for most people there will be minimal or no additional cost” The full program is in effect from 1 July 2009 and will run until 31 December 2011.
